There is nothing more annoying than trying to download an Instagram Reel and getting an error message, or worse—downloading a file that won't play.
If you are seeing these errors on other downloader sites, it is likely due to one of three reasons. Here is how to fix them using SaveFast.
Reason 1: The Account is Private
If the Instagram user has a private account, public downloaders cannot access the video file. You must follow them to view it.
Solution: SaveFast works best on Public accounts. Ensure the account isn't locked.
Reason 2: It's a "Story", not a Reel
Stories expire after 24 hours and have a different URL structure. Many old downloaders can't handle Stories.
Solution: SaveFast.online has a dedicated module for Stories. Just paste the link, and our engine detects the format automatically.
Reason 3: The App is Outdated
If you are using an old "Video Saver" app from the App Store, it likely hasn't been updated to match Instagram's latest API changes.
Solution: Stop using apps. Use a web-based tool like SaveFast. We update our code weekly to match Instagram's changes.
How to force a download
- Click the three dots on the Instagram post.
- If "Copy Link" isn't there, click "Share" -> "Copy Link".
- Paste it into SaveFast.
- If it fails, try refreshing the page and pasting again.
